    Hanuman Jayanti is observed on the 15th day of Shukla Paksha tithi of Chaitra month. Hanuman Ji, according to mythological beliefs, is the master of power and possesses qualities like courage, bravery, sympathy and faithfulness.

    Hanuman Jayanti Puja Vidhi

    The celebration of Hanuman Jayanti starts in the early morning. In this blog, we mentioned Hanuman Jayanti Puja Vidhi:

    1.     People need to get up early in the morning and take a bath.

    2.     After the bath, they need to do a deep meditation and take a Sankalp to perform Hanuman puja with full devotion.

    3.     Place wooden chowki and cover it with clean yellow cloth. Place the ideal on the chowki and make sure the idol faces east.

    4.     Light a ghee or oil lamp to the right of the idol and sprinkle holy water on the idol.

    5.     Perform the Abhishek of Lord Hanuman with holy water, raw milk, honey, ghee, curd, etc. clean the idol with a clean cloth after doing the Abhishek.

    6.     Dress the deity with clean clothes and offer kalava, Akshat, and Janeu.

    7.     Apply Chandan and orange sindoor on Idol, and also offer fruits and flowers.

    8.     Light incense sticks and dhoop. Chant Hanuman Chalisa to take the blessings of Lord Hanuman.

    9.     Offer Prasad to the deity as bhog and remember prasad is made by Sattvic recipe.

    10.  Perform parikrama, and aarti, and join your hands together and take blessings from the lord for a prosperous future.

    Do’s and Don’ts on Hanuman Jayanti Vrat Vidhi

    Do’s

    1.     Observe fast for blessings.

    2.     Recite Sundarkand or Hanuman Chalisa for protection.

    3.     Visit the Hanuman temple and offer orange sindoor.

    4.     Feed the poor and monkey or cow.

    Don’ts

    1.     Don't take non-vegetarian food or alcoholic substances.

    2.     Don't kill or humiliate animals as Hanuman Ji has an attachment towards them

    3.     Avoid negative speech, anger, or gossip on this sacred day.

    How to do Hanuman Jayanti Puja at home

    If you are not able to visit a temple then you can perform the Hanuman Jayanti Puja at home. You just need to clean and decorate a space with flowers and place an idol of Lord Hanuman. Offer fruits and water.

    Light diya and incense sticks. Chant Hanuman Chalisa and other mantras related to lord Hanuman. Perform the Aarti and distribute the prasad among family and friends.

    Mantras for Hanuman Jayanti

    Chanting mantras on this day boosts devotion and brings lord Hanuman’s blessings. A few mantras are:

    1.     Hanuman Gayatri Mantra: “ऊँ रामदूताय् विद्महे, कपिराजाय धीमहि, तन्नो हनुमत् प्रचोदयात। ऊँ आंजनेयाय् विद्महे, महाबलाय् धीमहि तन्नो मारुतिः प्रचोदयात। ऊँ अंजनिसुताय् विद्महे, वायुपुत्राय् धीमहि तन्नो मारुतिः प्रचोदयात्।”

    2.     Hanuman Moola Mantra: “ओम ह्रां ह्रीं ह्रं ह्रैं ह्रौं ह्रः॥ हं हनुमते रुद्रात्मकाय हुं फट्। ओम हं हनुमंताय नम:.”

    Significance of Hanuman Jayanti festival

    According to mythology, if a person wishes to seek the blessings of Lord Ram, they have to pray to Lord Hanuman to reach Lord Ram. Lord Ram is helping a person who is in trouble, but can only be reached through lord Hanuman.
