    Navratri Saraswati Puja 2024: In South India

    Goddess Saraswati is worshiped in the south region for the last 3 days of Navratri. People of this region perform the puja where they place tools in the evening for the beginning of puja which will be held on 10th October 2024.

    Kerala initiates children into the world of knowledge on the day of Vijayalakshmi. Thus, this ceremony is also known as Vidhya Arambham and will be on 10th October 2024.


    Significances of Goddess Saraswati

    Maa Saraswati is known as the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, art, music, and learning. She is the inspirational and creative aspect of Shakti. When Lord Brahma was creating a world, it was full of Chaos and less creativity, peace, and prosperity. After that, he realized that his world would become a better place through knowledge. After this realization, Goddess Saraswati comes out riding a swan from the mouth of Brahma ji. She is portrayed holding Vedas and Veena through which she gives knowledge and rhythm to the world. The swan of the goddess shows the purity that one should have in their thoughts 7 actions. It suggests that we find knowledge in everything just like the swan finds its food in the mud.
