We all know about the Kauravas; they were mean to the Pandavas and envious of them. They battled with Pandavas. The only Kauravas Sibling lived an unhappy life. So, you want to know Dushala's story? Let’s know about her in detail.
Dushala: The daughter of King Dhritarashtra and Queen Gandhari
We all know Dushala is Kauravas’s sibling. She was the daughter of the Hastinapur kingdom and the daughter of King Dhritarashtra and Queen Gandhari. She was the only sister of Kauravas. Ved Vyasa divided Gandhari’s flesh into a hundred parts, this is how she was born. She lived her life luxurious. She didn’t discriminate against her brothers as she was cordial to them.
She married Jayadratha, a king from Sindhu who fought alongside Duryodhana in the Mahabharata war. Her son’s name was Suratha.

Dushala was ignored by her mother. Her unhappy marriage with Jayadratha makes us sad. She is the Kauravas sibling, whom her brother deeply loved. Her marriage with Jayadratha was mismatched and her husband had 2 other wives.
A question might arise in our mind why she didn’t marry Karan? Duryodhana was 15 years younger than Karan. Dussala was younger than Duryodhana and he thought that marriage would be a mismatch. This is the main reason he got his sister married to the Sindhu king. Her marriage was a political alliance with the Kauravas.

In the olden days, if a woman's husband passed away, she would live as a widow. If they killed him, she become a widow.
As listening to her, Pandavas didn’t kill him. They shaved Jayadratha’s hair. After that Jayadratha wanted revenge. He asked Lord Shiva for a special boon to help him beat the Pandavas. Jayadratha chased other women after marriage, which makes unhappy life of Kauravas’s sister unhappy.
