Vidur’s early life
Yama took the birth of a low-caste child to sage Vyasa and Parishrami. She gave birth to him through Niyoga. She wasn't afraid of the Niyoga process like Ambika and Ambalika were. In the process, Ambika got scared closed her eyes, and gave birth to King Dhitarashtra, who was blind. Ambalika was frightened and didn’t close her eyes so she gave birth to Pandu. Vidur’s mother was brave and helped him become a wise person at the king’s court.

Vidur's role in the Kurukshetra war: The game of Dice
We all know that the game of dice led to bloodshed during the Mahabharata war. Vidura told the Kauravas many times to stop being mean to Draupadi. He also told Yudhisthira not to play this game. Dhritarashtra wanted to stop his son from insulting their brother. He remembered that Vidur told him that the blind kind could not rule. This helped him from holding his tongue against Duryodhana. Vidur after seeing this, sided with Pandavas in Kurukshetra. He also told Krishna that he would not participate in the battle.

Vidur in Mahabharata: His Advice and Niti
Lord Krishna motivated Vidur to take advice. He wanted to tell everyone that war only brings trouble. Duryodhana disagreed with this. He told Vidur that his mother was from a lower social class.
